The ideal outing for animal lovers of all ages. Hanmer Springs Animal Park is set rurally on 6 hectares, amidst spectacular mountain views, 10-15 minutes walk from the village of Hanmer Springs. We have 2 hectares of purpose-built farm park where you can relax and wander freely among our friendly animals in a clean and peaceful setting. All year round fun, entertainment and activities — Hanmer Springs Animal Park is an amazing farm park with a wide variety of friendly and interesting animals to hand feed. After having fun with the animals, enjoy our small onsite cafe or feel free to bring your own picnic. Relax with your food and drinks and give the kids time to enjoy our trampolines, playground and large sandpit. It’s a fabulous outing for animal lovers of all ages. Hanmer Springs Ski Area, located on Mount Saint Patrick, South Island, New Zealand is a club skifield 17 km from the town of Hanmer Springs. Hanmer Springs Ski Area offers you New Zealand club field skiing at its best! Family friendly (everybody friendly!), relaxed, affordable and a focus on the people and place as opposed to how awesome you are on the snow. We have a cosy, heated Day Lodge complete with gas stoves and ovens, toasted sandwich machines, tea and coffee for your convenience when you want a relaxing break. Large windows toward the slopes make for great viewing for spectators as well as our fantastic mezzanine level with couches and a warm sunny area for children and families to relax. Our deck is perfect for warm spring days with a bbq or an apres ski drink under the stars. Ski/Snowboard hire as well as outerwear is available directly from our partners Hanmer Adventure Centre in the village. Nutcrackers and toboggans are available on the mountain. We have a great experienced team of Ski and Snowboard Instructors on hand to help you get the most out of your time at our field, and a qualified ski patroller is always on duty. If you decide to stay the night with us (there's comfortable accommodation for a maximum of 64 people) you can choose from either family rooms or bunk type accommodation in the Robinson Lodge. All accommodation is self catering and exceptionally good value. There's nothing quite like waking up in the midst of the mountains! An amazing experience for families, groups or a couples getaway.
